Q: Why should we choose Phill Jackson Photography?
A: There are few photographers in Noosa who can match Phill Jackson’s experience and portfolio – how many photographers can lay claim to having photographed the Queen? Apart from expertise and experience, Phill’s big point of difference is that he uses professional lighting (similar to what you would see in a top studio) no matter what the location – indoor or outdoor. This ensures that every photograph is beautifully lit and captures every subject at their most photogenic, regardless of the natural light on the day.
Phill also recognises that when it comes to weddings it is your day and you want to enjoy it. He doesn’t intrude and doesn’t clock-watch – if you go a little over time, no problem.
Q: Where can we have our Noosa wedding photos or Sunshine Coast wedding photos taken?
A: Phill can work in any setting, indoor or outdoor. Many couples choose the beach for their wedding photos and Phill can use his local expertise to choose a suitable location based on tide times, how busy various beaches are likely to be and other key factors.
Phill knows Noosa beaches and other Sunshine Coast beaches well and can find the perfect spot depending on the time of day and time of year. And because he works with professional on-site lighting, you will get studio-quality images no matter what location you choose. Q: Where can we have our Brisbane wedding photos taken?
A: Phill works with a variety of locations, depending on the style and feel you are looking for. For photos by the river, the Nepalese Temple at Southbank offers something a bit different, or the Kangaroo Point Cliffs make a beautiful backdrop if you are having your wedding or reception in the city. The City Botanic Gardens and the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha are always popular, or some opt for the Roma Street Parkland.
Many couples choose to have their wedding and reception in the same place and good options for this include the University of Queensland at St Lucia, Hillstone St Lucia, Boulevard Gardens at Indooroopilly and Gianni’s Portside in Hamilton.
Sirromet winery at Mt Cotton is also a beautiful place for a wedding and lends itself well to photos.
Q: Where we can have our family photos taken?
A: It’s up to you. Phill can bring his equipment to your home or any location you choose. If you’re not sure, talk to Phill about the sort of images you want and he will suggest suitable locations.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: Unlike other coast photographers, Phill Jackson works with professional on-site lighting to ensure his subjects are beautifully lit no matter what the circumstances. If you choose an outdoor location and are unlucky enough to get rain, please call Phill to discuss the wet weather plan as it will differ for each wedding.
Q: What format will our photos be in?
A: No matter what package you choose, you will receive a disk of images to use as you choose. Some wedding photographers retain ownership of your images, making you beholden to them for expensive reprints. Phill Jackson has a simple belief: your wedding, your images.

Q: We have a limited budget for wedding photography – what can you do?
A: Phill Jackson Photography offers a range of wedding photography packages to cater for all types of weddings and budgets. Our “short and sweet” basic package is only $499 including a disk of high-resolution images in both colour and black and white / sepia and a bonus DVD of images with music. All packages are flexible and can be tailored to suit your needs.
Q: We are not in Queensland, can we still use Phill as our photographer?
A: Phill predominately works in and around the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane but can travel on request. Please send us an email to discuss your requirements.
